Chelsea Mauldin is a social scientist, designer, and leader in human-centered government innovation. She is the co-founder and executive director of the Public Policy Lab, the first nonprofit design lab for government in the United States. Chelsea has served as an advisor to dozens of municipal and U.S. federal agencies, and she is an expert speaker at design and policy events worldwide. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics.

Chelsea is an adjunct professor at Columbia University's School of International & Public Affairs (SIPA) and a frequent keynote speaker and panelist. Previously, she consulted to municipal and federal agencies, directed a community-development organization, led government partnerships at a public-space advocacy nonprofit, and served as an editor for publishing, arts, and digital media organizations. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics.
